The spring-loaded clamp attaches securely on object up to 4 inches thick. | | Clamping Light for Hands-Free Convenience The 95-891 provides all the benefits of a durable handheld flashlight with the option of hands-free use. With its spring-loaded clamp, this flashlight attaches securely to objects or surfaces up to four inches thick in just seconds. Located at the rear of the unit, the 95-891's unique clamping arms allow the light to hold on to ceiling beams, floor joists, and even pipes to help overcome the challenges of working alone in low-light situations. Additionally, the 95-891's powerful flood lighting will illuminate a large work surface for better visibility, even in dark, enclosed spaces. And its soft-touch rubber grips and non-marring clamp feet provide a non-slip grip without causing damage to tabletops or other clamping areas. 360-Degree Rotational Head for Versatility With this flashlight you'll have unlimited options when it comes to shining the 80-lumen beam onto your work area. A 350-degree rotating head and 120-degree tilt ensure that the light goes exactly where you need it most. This feature also gives you the option of re-positioning the light without having to remove and reclamp it. Patented Battery Technology for Long Runtime The 95-891 uses patented technology that allows it to take either two or four "C" batteries (not included). The light can run for up to 15 hours with two batteries and up to 30 hours with four batteries. Using four "C" batteries provides extended runtime for all-day jobs. | Customer Reviews: Great work light December 20, 2009 R. E. Johnson 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
Great work light. Build quality is good and light is ample for night work. Easy to use and position. Not sure about battery life as I've only had it about a week.
Better than a Standard Flashlight February 14, 2010 Susan Hanson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This clamp light is great. I live in a heavily-wooded rural area in the south that is subject to severe storms that often knock out electricity for hours. Last week, we lost power because of snow and ice. Flashlights work, of course, but they only light a small area and the quality of the light is usually not very good. Candles work as long as you don't have cats, kids, or klutzes around. This clamp light was wonderful. This single light will light an entire small room, and the light is bright enough to read by. It is sturdy, and the ability to clamp it almost anywhere is a huge help. If you are looking for an excellent-quality emergency light, this is the one.
Good product May 23, 2010 Jackson T. Liu I've used several time, the material is strong, with different angles and strong hook, good design.
almost great February 14, 2010 G. Robinson (CO) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The clamp and head positions are very well done and the light is fairly bright. I am giving it 3 stars because of two design problems and a total lack of documentation.
First the only coherent thing that the documentation says is you must use Alkaline batteries--no reason given.
Second the bulb is recessed and so doesn't take advantage of the fancy reflector.
It also comes with a large and useless chunk of plastic attached that AFAIK has no useful purpose. Just one more thing to throw out.
Old technology January 31, 2010 Malibu West (Malibu, CA United States) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought it to use in the field, especially for its "clip" ability. VERY disappointed that it doesn't have LED brightness, which would help the battery life, and rechargable battery packs. There's plenty of rechargable battery systems, ion batteries too. This is a good idea with very old technology, instead buying more batteries to go into a landfill
